Recipe Tips
Cut Brussels in Half for Maximum Crispiness: Slicing the Brussels sprouts gives you more surface area to brown, which means more caramelized edges and flavor.
Let Them Sit, Don’t Stir Too Much: To get that crispy, golden crust, place the Brussels cut side down and resist the urge to stir too often. Let them sear before tossing.
Use an Oven-Safe Skillet: A cast-iron or stainless steel skillet allows you to go straight from stovetop to broiler for even cooking and melty cheese perfection.
Broil Just Until Bubbly: Keep a close eye on your skillet under the broiler. 1–2 minutes is usually enough to get the cheese perfectly bubbly and golden without overcooking.
Ingredient Swaps: Greek Yogurt? Swap for sour cream or dairy-free yogurt. Cheddar Cheese? Use gruyere, mozzarella, or a sharp white cheddar. Bacon? Use turkey bacon or skip it for a vegetarian version. Dijon Mustard ? Try spicy brown mustard or whole grain for a twist. Add-Ins? Caramelized onions, sautéed garlic, or crushed red pepper for a little heat.
Refrigerator: Store Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts Skillet leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Reheating: Reheat in a skillet or oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes, or air fry for 4–5 minutes to bring back the crispiness.
