Smash Burger Tortilla Wraps

This is one of those smashburger wraps recipes that looks like it took effort but actually didn’t. The burger gets flattened like a smash patty, wrapped up in a cheesy, saucy tortilla, then toasted until golden and crispy. It’s fast, satisfying, and honestly kind of addictive.

Make it once and you’ll start keeping tortillas in the fridge just for this. Trust.

Recipe Tips

Use parchment when smashing the patties: It keeps the meat from sticking to your hands or the rolling pin.

Don’t skip the second skillet toast: That’s where the real crisp comes in. Seam-side down first helps seal it up.

Slice after toasting: It’ll hold together better and stay extra melty inside.

Customize with toppings: Think diced red onion, shredded lettuce, extra pickles, or even chopped jalapeños.

Double up and freeze: These reheat like a dream in the air fryer and make dinner a no-brainer.

Ingredient Swaps: No beef ? Ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based meat works just as well. No tortilla ? Try a lavash wrap or gluten-free tortilla. No cheese ? Sub in a plant-based cheese or leave it out completely (though it does help it hold together). Want more heat ? Add jalapeños or sriracha to the burger sauce. No burger sauce ? Mix ketchup and mayo or use ranch, Thousand Island, or even plain mustard.

Fridge: Store for up to 3 days in an airtight container.

Freezer: Wrap individually in foil or parchment and freeze for up to 2 months.

Reheat: Air fry at 375°F for 4–6 minutes until heated through and crispy. You can also bake in the oven or reheat in a skillet if you’re feeling patient.
